Chennai Super Kings’ Ruturaj Gaikwad took a stunning diving catch to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad‘s Heinrich Klassen when the two teams met on Friday in Chennai.

Klassen was being the thorn in the flesh for CSK with his runs late in SRH’s innings after CSK had managed to take some middle-overs wickets. However, a terrific diving catch from Ruturaj Gaikwad off the bowling of Matheesha Pathirana ended the South Africa’s stay in the middle.

It wasn’t a great delivery from the Sri Lankan speedster: length ball outside off. Klassen stood strong and slapped it powerfully, aiming for the cover boundary. He didn’t keep it on the ground and the ball was flying.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, positioned at cover position, took a step to his right and put in a forward dive. He got both his hands on the ball and completed a stunning catch to get rid of Klassen.

CSK got off to a flier with a partnership of 87 runs in 11 overs between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway which ended with an unfortunate run-out of the right-hander. Conway stayed till the end to see of CSK over the chase with a score of 77* runs.
