The much-awaited Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from 30 August to 17 September 2023. The tournament will be a 50-over contest, with all the games played at international standard venues. The Asia Cup will feature two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage of the game. The top 2 teams from the Super Four stage will then face off in the final clash.
Star Sports Announced Hosts for Upcoming Asia Cup 2023
The Asia Cup 2023 will kickstart in Multan with an opening clash between Pakistan and Nepal. A total of six teams, split into two groups will feature in the tournament — Group A includes Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B comprises Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament will follow a hybrid model with Pakistan hosting four matches across two venues and Sri Lanka hosting the remaining games.
Ahead of the tournament, the official broadcaster for the upcoming Asia Cup, Star Sports recently announced its host team for the mega event. The likes of Mayanti Langer, Jatin Sapru, and Zainab Abbas will be among the five hosts announced by the official broadcasters.
