Sunil Gavaskar Slammed Ravindra Jadeja
After the delivery, Gavaskar who was doing the commentary duties, expressed his disappointment with Jadeja delivering the ‘no-ball’ to Marnus Labuschagne in 3rd over. Gavaskar said that it wasn’t acceptable from a spinner to bowl a no-ball and also asserted that this delivery could cost India. He said:
“This is not acceptable. He has couple of man of the match awards but a spinner bowling no ball… I think Paras Mhambrey has to sit down with him and make him bowl from behind. This could cost India,”
And as Gavaskar predicted, The wicket turned out to be a little costly for team India as Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja went on to set up a 96-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Lubuschagne was eventually dismissed for 31 runs by Jadeja.
