“Meri to bowling aa nahi rahi hai’: Fun Banter Between Axar Patel And Ravindra Jadeja Has Gone Viral

Fun Banter Between Axar Patel And Ravindra Jadeja Has Gone Viral: The Indian cricket team continued with their brilliant form in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy series as they defeated Australia with relative ease in the second Test of the coveted series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Rohit Sharma and Co. once again managed to end the game in 3 days as they won the game by 6 wickets.

Indian all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel were the biggest contributors for the Indian side in the victory.

Axar Patel

Axar Patel’s combination with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja has been exemplary. Patel batted alongside Ashwin (37), scoring a game-changing 74 in the second Test against Australia on Saturday, which was followed after his crucial knock of 84 runs in Nagpur. Patel’s knock of 74 runs off 115 balls was laced with 9 fours and 3 stunning sixes, which came at the strike rate of 64.35.

Talking about Ravindra Jadeja, he was the star of the show in the 2nd Test match at Delhi. In the first innings, he picked up 3 wickets for 68 runs, however, it was in the second innings that the star all-rounder unleashed the beast in him. He picked up his career-best figure 7 wickets for 42 runs, thus taking his 2nd 10-wicket haul in the longest format of the game.

Hilarious Interaction Between Patel And Jadeja

Meanwhile, after the memorable win, both the spin-bowling all-rounders shared a hilarious interaction, wherein the great bond of friendship between them was quite visible. During the interaction, Axar Patel asked his senior pro Jadeja, whether he was bowling superbly to keep him at bay. He asked:

Sir, meri to bowling aa nahi rahi hai. Axar ko bowling nahi dena hai isliye aisa ball dal rahe ho kya? (Sir, are you bowling like this so that Axar doesn’t get a chance to bowl?),” he asked Jadeja, which left the Man of the Match in both Tests in splits.

Axar’s question was in reference to the fact that Jadeja was getting a lot of overs to bowl, and fetching a lot of wickets, he picked 17 in 2 games to be precise. On the other hand, Patel was not getting enough chances to bowl and picked up just 1 wicket in the 2 Test Matches so far.

Responding to Patel’s question, Jadeja said: The Australians prefer playing the sweep and reverse sweep. My effort was to bowl stump to stump. If they miss and the ball stays low, then the ball is bound to hit the stumps. That’s what happened today when five balls hit the stumps,” Ravindra Jadeja replied.
