Former India batsman Suresh Raina recently spent some time with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. The duo has plenty of fun, including Chahal teaching Suresh Raina his famous post that has become reputed with the leggie.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s post from the 2019 World Cup, when he was lying on the ground just outside the boundary line, became an instant hit on social media among fans and a number of cricketers and ex-cricketers have recreated it.
Now, Raina joined the bandwagon and recreated this signature pose of the 32-year-old India leg-spinner.
Taking to his social media handles on Friday, February 24, the former CSK batsman posted a pic of himself and Chahal in the latter’s famous pose, saying that it took plenty of training to learn this from the champion leg-spinner.
“Trying the most famous pose ever .. Took a lot of training and regular practice at the ground.. All the best for the upcoming series brother @yuzi_chahal,” Suresh Raina captioned the post.

Since this became a cult among fans, Yuzvendra Chahal has been using this pose as a celebration after picking up a big wicket, or a hat-trick, or a five-fer. He runs to the outfield and swiftly slides down in his iconic pose.
Yuzvendra Chahal will be seen next in the ODI series against Australia:
Ever since the 2019 World Cup, Yuzvendra Chahal’s position in the Indian team in both the formats has become uncertain. Chahal didn’t even play in a single match in the last two T20 World Cups, despite being India’s leading T20I wicket-taker currently.

Now, he’s eyeing a place in the Indian squad for the 2023 World Cup at home. Apart from the finger spinners Axar and Sundar, both of whom are also all-rounders, Chahal is competing for the leg-spinner’s spot with close friend Kuldeep Yadav.
Once a formidable wrist-spin duo, Chahal and Kuldeep have rarely played in the same eleven in the last three years with India looking to bolster their batting a bit.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s next assignment, and quite a crucial one, will be the 3-ODI series against Australia in March, followed by the IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals.
