Sachin Tendulkar is one big name that ruled the Indian cricketing roster with pomp and vigour and everytime he would arrive at the center, the entire audience will go “Sachin Sachin” and continue banging the decibels through the roofs. However, the last time this entire madness unfurled was back in 2013 when Sachin Tendulkar stepped in the yard for the last time.

Post Sachin Tendulkar retirement, many Indian cricketers have made the cut for the national team and many of them faded away as well. But this story is about the ones who would form an entire team post his departure and would go onto rule the world in all their flourish.

Openers: Shubman Gill and KL Rahul

Obviously, Shubman Gill will be a leading name in terms of opening considering his extraordinary flair for striking the cherry around and those numbers that adorns his name and the kind of cricket that he plays, makes him a wonder to don the Indian jersey.

KL Rahul may have fallen from his grace at the opening slot and yet he is one of the fiercest players to have donned the Indian jersey. His strokeplay is absolutely brilliant and he would continue to be one of the finest players in the Indian circuit.

Middle Order: Cheteshwar Pujara, Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant

Cheteshwar Pujara was stepping into boots that were left void by the humongous likes of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar and the way he stepped up to the task is nothing short of miraculous. He would be a vital cog when it comes to upholding the Indian team at the Oval for the WTC finale.

Manish Pandey drifted in and out of form and probably fell out of favour of the Indian selectors. However, he was one batter who was touted very highly and was expected to bring the roofs down with his own brand of justice.

Shreyas Iyer is obviously a generational talent and is a big name in ODIs and Tests. He is a man who can deliver under the pump and if you ask him to step up to the biggest occasion even without any preparation, he would do that happily.

Hardik Pandya is probably going to be the Indian captain in the upcoming days and the kind of evolution that this man has gone through will inspire generations to come. Life gave him a second chance and he bagged it with arms wide open.

Rishabh Pant is a pocket dynamite and the way he ruled Australia and England in their den is nothing short of wondrous. He is a phenomenal striker of the ball and can rock the distant shores in his own blazing fashion. The man is a fearless striker of the cherry and will not hold back his punches irrespective of the opposition that he is up against.

Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj

Obviosly Jasprit Bumrah is one name who should be names over and over again in this line-up and believe this or not but the young fast bowler is just taking flight. He can rock the batters with his own brand of bumpers and toe-crushers.

Yuzvendra Chahal may still be struggling to find his form but he can be someone who can be one of the most mercurial forms of leg-spinners and it is hard to crack the code that Chahal usually knits.

Shardul Thakur is an all-rounder who has helped India to gain that balance in the latter half of the innings and will probably be a prized addition to this line-up. He can move the ball both ways and most importantly can hit the deck real hard.

Mohammed Siraj is going to be India’s game-changer and India’s latest exploits in the SENA nation has been pinned on his shoulders. He has raw pace and swings the ball both ways. He would be a key element in his team’s arsenal in terms of leading the bowling attack for his side.
