Former Indian captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli finally ended his century drought as he registered his 71st international century in India’s final match of the Asia Cup, against Afghanistan. It was a dead rubber game between India and Afghanistan, however, the game provided a big reason to celebrate for the Indian fans and it was the sensational comeback of Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli wreaked havoc at the Dubai International Stadium, smashing the Afghanistan bowlers to all the corners of the ground. He played a blockbuster inning of 122* runs from 61 deliveries in an innings studded with 12 fours and 6 sixes. His century came as a relief to him and his fans, who were waiting for 1020 days for his 71st century. Virat’s knock of 122* runs was also the highest score by an Indian in the shortest format of the game.
