Harmanpreet has worked extremely hard on his game in the last few years and established herself as one of the most destructive batters in women cricket history. Kaur took some time initially, but after she got her eye in, she blasted the Aussie bowlers all around the park with ease and grace.

In an exclusive chat with Indian Express, former India skipper and current CoA member Diana Edulji revealed how former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar helped Harman get a job in Western Railways.

Diana has been working with Harmanpreet Kaur since a long time and there was a time when she was looking for a job for Harman in Western Railways but her request was denied by the president. So, Diana spoke to Sachin Tendulkar about it, and because Sachin is also a member of parliament, his recommendation helped Harman in getting a job.

“I told her, ‘I will get you a higher post. he was getting a junior class in Northern Railways. I offered her a chief office superintendent post. Her application was later sent to Delhi, but was rejected by the president. I requested Sachin, who is a Member of Parliament, to write a letter to the Railway minister, forwarding the case of Harmanpreet Kaur,” Diana said.
