Former England captain Michael Vaughan wants International Cricket Council (ICC) to punish Ravichandran Ashwin for his “welcome note” James Anderson in the second innings of the fourth Test of the ongoing series between India and England, at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Vaughan tweeted that he doesn’t understand why ICC punished Ben Stokes in the Mohali Test but, in his view, Ravichandran Ashwin got away with it at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

According to ICC, Stokes was found to have used “language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting”, in breach of Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct.

This is what Michael Vaughan tweeted:

“I don’t understand @ICC why @benstokes38 was done for dissent in Mohali but @ashwinravi99 gets away with it in Mumbai .. ??? Please explain.”
