One of the most telling aspects about India during this series is the seriousness and professionalism with which they have been playing their games. At no point have they let complacency set in and this has resulted in the team winning all the games they have played.
The Sri Lankan team are going through a transitional phase and are devoid of any real match-winners barring Lasith Malinga. Though they have put up a fight in a couple of the ODIs, they were never able to capitalise on them and this has resulted in them still having a nought in their wins column against the Indians.
India meanwhile, have been able to give a chance to most of the squad players to try and test them out so that they can feature in future matches. This has been a good opportunity that the likes of Kedar Jadhav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Manish Pandey and Rahul have had to show their worth to the team and some of them have been able to show their ability
Third rank retained:
As India won the 4th ODI against the Lankans to put them on the verge of a whitewash in the ODI series too, they retained the number three ranking in the ICC table. The team was able to comfortably win against the Lankans in this ODI, with captain Kohli and Rohit Sharma smashing brilliant centuries.

Must have said it around 1000 times that Manish Pandey deserves a good run lol. He is tailor-made for batting against the old ball.
