It is great news for the Mumbai Indians fans ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League as the star player of the team — Hardik Pandya has made a comeback in a grand-style. After smashing a century off only 37 balls, Hardik Pandya has now gone on to slam the highest individual T20 score for India with his destructive batting.
Playing for his team Reliance 1 in the final against BPCL in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Cup, Hardik Pandya smashed 20 humongous sixes and just six fours in his record-breaking innings. He remained unbeaten on 158 off just 55 balls.
It was a typical ‘Kung-Fu’ Pandya innings as the Indian all-rounder smashed the ball to all the corners of the ground as he helped his team Reliance 1 to post 238 on the scoreboard. The record of the highest individual score by an Indian in T20 was earlier held by Shreyas Iyer, who had smashed 147 for Mumbai against Sikkim in the Group C match in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Earlier, in the group stage clash, Hardik Pandya announced his comeback in style by scoring 105 runs off just 39 balls. His fearless knock was laced with 7 fours and 10 sixes.
Hardik Pandya had a disastrous season last year, that was mostly marred by injuries and rehabilitation, However, now he is all set to make his way back in the Indian cricket team and the fans just can’t wait for his comeback in the national side.
