India’s talented pacer Umesh Yadav made the cut for the mega squad for the 5 Test series vs England following the much-awaited Final of the World Test Championship (WTC), which will kickstart from tomorrow at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Earlier this year, the cricketer had to leave midway through the Test series in Australia after he suffered a calf injury on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. During that series, Umesh had bowled only 3.3 overs and claimed one wicket before getting injured and traveling back to India. The cricketer was also not a part of the Indian squad for the home Test series vs England, which India won by 3-1.
Recently, the BCCI announced a 15-member squad for team India for the WTC final, and Umesh Yadav has successfully made the cut for the mega squad. It will be interesting to see whether the cricketer will get the opportunity to feature in the playing XI.
Ahead of the mega-event, Umesh Yadav took to his Twitter and shared two pictures of himself bowling. Sharing the pictures, Umesh claimed that he is adding finishing touches before the Final of WTC. He wrote:
