Video: Naveen-ul-Haq Reacts After Fans Teased Him With ‘Kohli-Kohli’ Chants

The Indian fans are very angry at the Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and are leaving no stone unturned to express their anger and disappointment with the young star.

Naveen-ul-Haq has been targeted by fans wherever LSG has traveled after the verbal spat with Kohli. It won’t be wrong to say that Naveen’s bad time started the moment he indulged with the Indian batting maestro. Fans are visibly upset and thus Naveen has found himself at the receiving end of intense trolling.

On Tuesday, during Lucknow’s last fixture against Mumbai Indians, a similar incident took place where the pacer was teased with the ‘Kohli! Kohli!’ chants while fielding close to the boundary. But this time, Naveen didn’t ignore the chants and decided to react to it.

Reacting to the live trolling from the stadium, Naveen was seen encouraging the crowd to increase their volume signaling with his hands. The video of the same has been going viral on the internet.

This isn’t the first time that the fans have shown their anger towards the Afghanistan bowler. Earlier during Lucknow’s away game against SunRisers Hyderabad, the team was targeted with ‘Kohli’ chants. Not just this, the fans even threw nuts and bolts directed toward the Lucknow dugout. This even led to the match being stopped for a brief time. The umpires had to rush to the dugout to control the situation.

Talking about the game, after being asked to bat first, Lucknow posted a good total of 177/3 runs, riding on the stellar knocks from captain Krunal Pandya (49 off 42) and Marcus Stoinis (89 off 47).

Chasing the target, despite good knocks from Ishan Kishan (59 off 39), Rohit Sharma (37 off 25), and Tim David (32* off 19), Mumbai Indians could only manage to score 172/5. Mohsin Khan’s last-over heroics for LSG saved the day for his team.

With this win, Lucknow has secured the third spot on the IPL 2023 points table with 15 points to their name, having won 7 of the 13 games they have played so far. The Krunal Pandya-led side will be seen in action in their last league game which is against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 20 to qualify for the playoffs.
