22-year-old Pakistani youngster Zaman Khan is on the rise. With his slingy action, similar to Lasith Malinga, Zaman Khan is making his name as a T20 specialist with gigs in The Hundred in England and the BBL in Australia.
On Saturday, Zaman Khan bowled Glenn Maxwell with a stunning, toe-crushing yorker during the Melbourne Stars vs Sydney Thunder encounter in the ongoing BBL 2023/24 season. Stars and Thunder met on Saturday at the Lavington Sports Oval in Albury with the Thunder sealing a victory on the back of Zaman’s 3-wicket haul.\
One of those wickets was that of the Melbourne Stars skipper, Glenn Maxwell, who was left stunned after being castled with a sensational yorker from Zaman Khan.
On the 2nd ball of the 13th over of Melbourne’s innings, Zaman send down a searing, slightly swinging yorker. The ball came out of his hands in front of the stumps but kept swinging a little away from Maxwell, who went for a slog on the leg-side. The yorker beat Maxwell’s outside edge and clattered in to the base of the off-stump.
Glenn Maxwell’s reaction is a must-see one as the veteran Aussie batter looked befuddled and even impressed by the accuracy of Zaman’s yorker.
