Video: Virat Kohli Vents Out Frustration After Suryakumar Yadav’s Controversial Dismissal

Last updated:

Suryakumar Yadav’s dream innings came to an end after a controversial decision by the 3rd umpire. SKY was batting on 57 off 31 when he played a lap shot off Sam Curran’s delivery towards the fine leg. However, the shot was stopped by Dawid Malan, who put in some great effort to grab the ball.

After the on-field umpire adjudged the batsman out, the decision was referred to the third umpire, who after multiple checks decided to go with the on-field call. The decision of the 3rd umpire meant that SKY will have to walk back to the pavilion.

However, the decision turned controversial as the replays showed that the ball was touching the grass but since he didn’t have anything conclusive, the 3rd umpire wasn’t able to change the decision.

The decision didn’t go down well with many, including the Indian skipper, who was seen venting out his frustration with the decision of the 3rd umpire. The video of the same has been going viral on social media. Here, watch the video:

Meanwhile, SKY, who made his international debut in the ongoing T20I series against England, however, didn’t get an opportunity to bat during the match. However, in the 4th T20 against England, SKY made full use of the opportunity and slammed 57 runs in 31 balls. His knock was laced by 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Riding on SKY’s brilliant 50 and Shreyas Iyer’s 37 off 18, team India finished at 185/8 in 20 overs. It will be interesting to see if team India will be able to level the series.
