Before the match, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, visiting Kolkata, were warming up for the game. Star player Virat Kohli and Kolkata Knight Riders‘ mentor Gautam Gambhir were spotted having a chat during the practice session.

Last year, there was a bit of a disagreement between Kohli and Gambhir after some unpleasant incidents during a match between RCB and LSG, where Gambhir was involved. However, it seems they’ve patched things up since then. They even hugged it out during the first match between KKR and RCB earlier this season.
Gambhir, who led KKR to victory in the past, returned to the club as a mentor before this season. He’s been doing a great job at the Eden Gardens, guiding KKR to 4 wins out of 6 matches so far. As a result, KKR is currently in second place in the league table before their match against RCB.
If the visiting team wants to win against the strong KKR team, they’ll need to step up their game by a lot. So far, KKR has only lost to the current champions CSK and the team at the top of the table, RR, this season.
In their last match, KKR won by 7 wickets against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Now, KKR will aim to repeat that success on their home turf when they face RCB again. The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM IST on Sunday.
