In Sunday’s opening game of the Indian Premier League 2023 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli got his team off to a great start with a half century (April 2).
With 172 needed to win, Kohli and RCB captain Faf du Plessis dismantled the MI bowling attack. The two of them were trading shots back and forth.
Virat Kohli hit MI speedster Jofra Archer for a couple of sixes, and that became the talk of the town.

Kohli hit Jofra for six twice: once in the fourth over when he came down the track and launched him over long-off, and again in the 14th over on a breathtaking pull over deep square leg.
