After a shaky beginning, Tilak Varma was the beacon of hope for the Mumbai Indians. The Mumbai crowd’s joy was shared across the internet thanks to his innings.
In match five of the Indian Premier League 2023, Mumbai Indians batsman Tilak Varma played a memorable knock, saving his team from a disastrous batting collapse against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He batted for the entire innings, contributing an unbeaten 84 runs off 46 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes as MI reached a respectable 171 for 7 in 20 overs.

When MI were reduced to 20 for in 5.2 overs, Tilak walked out to bat. Ishan Kishan, Cameron Green, and Rohit Sharma, Mumbai’s top three batters, had all returned to the dugout after contributing little, shifting the burden squarely onto the middle order. Tilak stepped up to the plate and, along with Nehal Wadhera, put together a fifty-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Varma kept his cool and reached fifty off 32 balls as wickets fell around him.
He then switched gears after reaching the landmark and added 48 unanswered runs to the MI innings in a partnership with Arshad Khan for the eighth wicket.
Happiness says it all!

On Sunday, Varma was the only batsman to contribute to MI’s cause. Karn Sharma, an RCB spinner, took two scalps while allowing 32 runs in his four overs.
