It was a treat for cricket fans around the country as two superstars — Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni took on each other for the first time in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. Fans were on the edge of their seats, biting their nails until the very last ball of the thriller.

Despite standing in opposite camps, both the cricketers maintained the camaraderie they share, and an episode of it was seen after the game. As the teams lined up to shake hands after CSK defeated RCB, there was a special moment shared between Kohli and Dhoni.

Seeing Dhoni, the RCB batting superstar stopped and gave him a warm hug before moving forward to shake hands with the rest of the CSK team members.

The bromance between the two superstars of Indian cricket didn’t end there. They got together on the sidelines and engaged in a fun conversation as Virat was even caught chuckling before the camera panned toward other players.

The moment was an instant hit on the internet as it left the fans of both players in awe of their bond of friendship. The video of the same is going viral on the internet.

A post shared by Virat Kohli (@virat.kohli)

This isn’t the first time Kohli has posted something special for Dhoni. Time and again, Kohli has shared his love and admiration for the legendary captain. Earlier, Kohli had also informed media persons that it was only Dhoni, who had reached out to him after he stepped down from the Test captaincy. He had revealed:

โ€œWhen I left my Test captaincy, only Dhoni called me, nobody else did, even though many had my number.โ€

โ€œThere is a certain amount of respect and connection you have with someone and if it is genuine it shows. It also shows there is security in the relationship โ€“ if I want to suggest something to somebody, I will reach out to them personally and tell them what I think and what needs to be done, rather than publically going and speaking about it,โ€ he added.
