Virender Sehwag Slams Umpires For Stealing A Run From KXIP: On the second day of the ongoing IPL 2020, Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals kickstarted their IPL 2020 journey with a bang defeating Kings XI Punjab, in a super-over nail-biting thriller. However, the match wasn’t without controversy.
It was in the second last over of KXIP’s innings, when the umpire falsely called a short run, which ultimately cost KL Rahul’s side the match.
The bizarre incident from the umpire received a lot of criticism as the replays showed Jordan’s bat had crossed the line. Well, that one run surely made a difference in the end as the match ended up in a tie. And as soon as the Punjab side lost the match, social media was already flooded with reactions slamming and criticizing the decision of the umpire.
Among many, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also took to his twitter and took a dig at the umpire. In his tweet, Virender Sehwag wrote that the umpire should have been given the Man of the Match award. He wrote:
“I don’t agree with the man of the match choice . The umpire who gave this short run should have been man of the match. Short Run nahin tha. And that was the difference,”

Talking about the match, both the teams were on the level as the match came towards an end of regular ones. Kagiso Rabada bowled a fantastic super over and gave away only 2 runs, picking a couple of wickets. All thanks to the brilliant performance by Rabada Delhi Capitals were able to beat KXIP.
