The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli helped the ‘men in blue’ once again to gun down their highest-ever T20I chase in the first T20 Internation series against West Indies last night. He surpassed the ‘Hit-man’ Sharma to become the top cricketer for scoring the most fifties in T20Is.
The Indian skipper went out to bat after the fall of Rohit Sharma’s wicket early in the innings. Alongside his partner KL Rahul, Virat Kohli put up a brilliant show for the fans. He carried India on his 94* to chase down mammoth 208 with an over to spare.

Virat Kohli started on a slow note but a couple of boundaries later, he found his rhythm back and started his ‘real show’. After getting to his 23rd T20I fifty, he started hitting his trademark lofted drives and the long jaw-dropping shots to frustrate West Indies’ players. His attitude, while playing was different today. He fancied a few big shots and was seen fully-pumped up.
As soon as India won the match, social media was flooded with tweets and messages for the men in blue, congratulating them for their victory in the first match. Netizens couldn’t stop pouring in praises for his performance. From fans to cricketing legends around the world, everyone came together to praise the performance of the run-machine – Virat Kohli.
