Wasim Jaffer Gives The Perfect Response To Mickey Arthur’s Excuse After Loss To India

Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer gave a perfect reply to the Pakistan Team director Mickey Arthur for his statements following Pakistan’s 7-wicket loss to India in Ahmedabad.

India continued their winning chariot in the World Cup 2023 with a massive victory over Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

In the post-match press conference then, Mickey Arthur said that with no or very few Pakistani fans being allowed for the IND vs PAK game and the 130,000-strong crowd being dominated almost entirely by Indian fans affected Pakistan’s performance.

Arthur even took a sly dig at the BCCI, saying it felt more like a “BCCI event”. Mickey Arthur even lamented the DJ not playing Dil Dil Pakistan song!

“Look, I’d be lying if I said it did. It didn’t seem like an ICC event to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn’t hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight,” Arthur said.

“So yes, that does play a role, but I’m not going to use that as an excuse because for us it was about living the moment, it was about the next ball and it was about how we were going to combat the Indian, the Indian players tonight.”

When asked if such a thing – not giving visas to Pakistani fans – should have been allowed, Arthur responded: “Look I don’t think I can’t comment on that just yet. I don’t want to get fined.”

For such bizarre comments, Mickey Arthur was trolled mercilessly by Indians on social media. One of the responsive tweets also came from Wasim Jaffer, who trolled the Pakistan team brutally.

Wasim Jaffer pointed out that Pakistan had lost Test series at home last year to England and Australia, wondering if that was also down to the DJ not playing the song of Pakistan’s choice.

Wasim Jaffer tweeted: “I wondered why Pakistan lost home series vs both Aus and Eng, but thanks to Micky Arthur now I know it was because stadium DJ didn’t play ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ enough and majority of fans were wearing blue jerseys :)”
