CSK captain Gaikwad had hailed Pathirana as CSK’s Malinga at the toss and the youngster from Sri Lanka delivered superbly in his first game of the season. He was hit for only one four and one six in his last two overs that he bowled in the death. This helped CSK not concede many runs and win by a huge margin of 60 runs, thus boosting their NRR.
