[Watch] Angry Rohit Sharma Gestures Jaiswal And Sarfaraz To Keep Playing Until He Declares

No cricketer expresses himself in an unbridled manner as Rohit Sharma, and his gestures, expressions and words in Bambaiya accent make it hilarious. The India captain on Sunday looked angry and shocked at two youngsters, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan, for not waiting until his declaration signal and deciding to walk toward the dressing room.

Jaiswal and Sarfaraz tormented the England bowlers and fielders in the heat of Rakot on Sunday with their epic partnership of 172* (158) as the pair took India’s lead past 500 in the second innings. It felt that a declaration was near as India had taken a lead of more then 500 and the players were dressed in their whites ready to take the field.

During the second session on Day 4, when the umpires called for a drinks break both Jaiswal and Sarfaraz started walking toward the dressing room. Rohit Sharma looked at them and his expressions and gestures told the entire story.

The Indian captain had not yet declared. So he showed the gesture of “What?” at both the batters before signaling them to go back and resume batting. The England players who were having drinks looked at Rohit’s signal for Jaiswal and Sarfaraz to continue batting and they were left in shock as well. The fans had a laughter riot over this video.

Meanwhile, Jaiswal’s 214, Sarfaraz’s 68*, and Shubman Gill’s 91 helped India give England an unscalable target of 557 runs in Rajkot as India aim to take a 2-1 lead.

Jaiswal smashed 12 sixes in his innings, which is now the joint-most number of sixes in a Test innings by a batsman, equalling the long-standing record of Wasim Akram. Sarfaraz recorded twin fifties on his Test debut as he walloped 6 fours and 3 sixes.

In reply, England lost their way right from the start with the run out of Ben Duckett. At the time of writing, England are 50/7 and are heading to a massive loss.
