India suffered a loss in the second ODI against Sri Lanka and are trailing in the series by a margin of 1-0. Even after the loss, captain Rohit Sharma is happy with his aggressive approach and wants to keep sticking by that.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first on a turning wicket. They posted a total of 240 runs on the board. India stumbled from 97-1 at one stage to 208 runs all-out. Sri Lanka’s Jeffrey Vandersay was the destroyer in chief as he picked up 6 wickets by giving away just 33 runs.

Captain Rohit Sharma was aggressive with the bat yet again and took India to a strong position with 64 off 44 balls innings. However, he gave away his wicket by trying to play a switch hit and opened the flood gates for Sri Lanka.
However, there was a funny incident just as the Indian team was going into the field at the start of the Sri Lankan innings. A fan in the stands came up with a reimagine ‘Lagaan’ poster featuring the current Indian Cricket Team. Virat Kohli was the first one to spot it in the stands and quickly told Rohit Sharma to check it. They could not stop laughing after seeing the reimagined poster.

Ashutosh Gowariker oversaw the 2001 Indian epic sports drama “Lagaan”. Set in British colonial India, the narrative centers on a tiny community under repressive taxation. Under the resolute Bhuvan, the villagers challenge the British to a cricket match in order to evade paying the unjust lagaan (tax). Having never played the game before, they train and bond together against their masters. Starring Aamir Khan, the movie combines ideas of cultural pride, resiliency, and solidarity. Critically praised, “Lagaan” became a landmark in Indian film and nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards.
