Karwachauth is a Hindu festival in which married women do a fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands. To break their fast, women dress up in traditional red saree and their husbands offer them water after they look at the bright moon.
The wives of India cricketers, being as loving and caring for their husbands, also did this fast on the occasion of Karwachauth. They posted pictures online.

Meanwhile, talking about Team India, the men in blue are all but in the semi-final. India have earned 12 points in 6 games and is the only unbeaten team in the World Cup 2023.
Their next match is on Thursday against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. If India wins against Sri Lanka, they will seal their semi-final spot.
India, however, have a major concern with the injury to Hardik Pandya. It has been reported that Hardik Pandya will straightaway be available only for the semi-final. Pandya last played against Bangladesh, when he sustained an ankle injury, and then missed the matches against New Zealand and England.
“Whatever procedure he went through after the injury, it was very positive,” Rohit Sharma said on Wednesday. “He is obviously not available for tomorrow’s match. But it is an injury that we have to see every day how much percent he has recovered, how much he is bowling, how much he is batting. So we are monitoring it on a day-to-day basis. The way it’s going, hopefully we’ll get to see him as soon as possible. That’s all I can say for now.”
