World Cup Final: “Play Fearlessly” – Rahul Gandhi’s Wish For Rohit Sharma : India and Australia will kick-start the epic, much-awaited World Cup 2023 final on Sunday afternoon at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

After being left out of the 2011 World Cup squad, Rohit Sharma has come a long way to now lead Team India in the World Cup final. Against them is the five-time champion side, Australia, led by fast bowler Pat Cummins. Over a billion hearts will be supporting Team India and Rohit Sharma in their assignment today, as many fans hope for India to take revenge of the 2003 World Cup final loss against Australia.

World-famous politician Rahul Gandhi, who is a member of the Indian Parliament, took to Twitter to give his best wishes to Rohit Sharma and Team India. Gandhi’s message for simple for Team India: play the fearless brand of cricket they have been playing in the tournament,

Pat Cummins win toss, elects to bowl; Rohit Sharma plays same team

Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bowl. Rohit announced that India will be playing the same XI that has played in the last 6 matches, quashing the rumors of R Ashwin getting the nod over Siraj because of the dryness of the surface.

Rohit Sharma said: “I would have batted first. Looks a good pitch, big game, put runs on the board. It’s going to be amazing, everytime we play here, the crowd come out in large numbers. The biggest occasion in the cricketing event. We have to stay nice and calm. It’s a dream come true to be captaining the team in the final. I know what lies in front of us. We need to play well and get the result. You got to make the right decisions on the field. That’s something we’ve done consistently in the last 10 games. We are playing the same team.”
