You All Will Agree With The New Name BCCI Has Given To MS Dhoni

India got off to a bad start in the first ODI of the 5 match series against Australia at MA Chidambaram stadium Chennai. India lost it’s first three wickets with just 11 runs on the board with Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey not even troubling the scorers.

Rohit Sharma got an early respite when Steven Smith dropped an easy catch off the bowling of Pat Cummins but Rohit couldn’t capitalise and holed out in the deep. Rohit’s dismissal bought MS Dhoni on the crease, who received a heart warming welcome by the crowd.

Chennai has always been a merry hunting ground for MSD and today also it proved the same. With his cool like cucumber attitude, he guided India towards safety yet again and proved why he is essential for team India. He might not be hitting sixes at will but he is still the master of rotating the strike and motivating the other batsman to score big.

MS Dhoni not only himself scored his 66th fifty but also motivated Hardik Pandya to score a classy 83. He kept on giving strike to Hardik Pandya and made sure singles kept on flowing from his end.

Dhoni’s importance was also highlighted by BCCI who labelled him a King and tweeted the video of reception MS Dhoni received when he stepped out to bat. It was an emotional moment for Dhoni as he returned to Chennai after a long time to perform with the willow.

BCCI captioned the video with a beautiful caption terming ‘Mahi’ as a king. The tweet read, ‘The King returns to Chennai “#TeamIndia #IndvAus”.’
