Yuvraj Singh Trolled Suresh Raina In His Trademark Style

Yuvraj Singh Trolled Suresh Raina In His Trademark Style: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings were eliminated from the IPL 2022 playoff race on Thursday following their 5-wicket loss to the Mumbai Indians, who were the first franchise to be knocked out of the season.
In another do-or-die game, CSK batters, though, didn’t put up a fight as they got bundled out for 97 in 16 overs. Man of the Match Daniel Sams took a three-wicket haul that included the wickets of Devon Conway,
Moeen Ali and
Ruturaj Gaikwad. For
CSK, only
MS Dhoni showed some resilience with the bat remaining unbeaten on 36 while no other batter could score more than 12.

The bowlers did, though, gave CSK some hope, dragging Mumbai to 33/4 but once the powerplay was done, Tilak Varma and Hrithik Shokeen, followed by Tim David comfortably took MI home for only their third win of the season.

Following this disappointing batting performance by the CSK batters, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh took a slight dig at former India and CSK stalwart, Suresh Raina, when the two were watching an indoor football game.

In an Instagram story that Yuvraj uploaded, he asked a few words from Suresh Raina on the CSK’s 97 all out. Raina’s reply was a savage one.

“Raina. Aapki team aaj 97 pe all out ho gayi hai. Kya kehna chahenge aap? (Your team got bowled out for 97 tonight. What do you have to say?)” Yuvraj asked the former CSK batsman.

In response, Raina came up with a gem of a reply:Main nahi thha na paaji match mein (I wasn’t part of the match).” This had Yuvraj laughing.

Suresh Raina had been the backbone of the CSK batting line-up for a decade. In fact, CSK qualified for the playoffs/semis in all the seasons that Raina had been part of, while losing out on a top-four spot in 2020 – when Rain returned back home from the UAE – and 2022 when he wasn’t bought back in the mega-auction.

After going unsold in the mega-auction, Raina joined the commentary team for the IPL 2022. Known as Mr. IPL, Suresh Raina amassed 5528 runs in 205 games in the IPL.
