Yuvraj Singh’s wife Hazel Keech will now be known as Gurbasant Kaur

India’s swashbuckling all-rounder Yuvraj Singh tied the knot with Bollywood actress Hazel Keech on 30th November at a Gurudwara in Punjab. Yuvraj, who was the hero of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, threw a sangeet party for Team India and his friends in relatives, at a hotel in Chandigarh.

According to reports, during the wedding ritual Hazel was referred to as Gurbasant Kaur by the Saint Balvinder Singh, who was reading the kirtan. After the ‘Anand Karaj’ ceremony, the couple got the blessings of Dera head Baba Ram Singh Ji.

Reports further claimed that Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji himself had suggested to change the name of Hazel to Gurbasant.

Yuvraj Singh was at the Dera of Baba Ram Singh, which is around 40 kms from Chandigarh. The wedding at the Dera was performed as per Sikh rituals and only close friends and relatives were invited. Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh didn’t attend the wedding as he doesn’t believe in spiritual gurus. Reports also suggest that tight security arrangements were made in and around Dera for Yuvraj Singh’s wedding.
