Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta slammed the people who mocked Arjun Tendulkar over nepotism claims after the youngster picked his first-ever wicket in the Indian Premier League.
Arjun Tendulkar Picked His Maiden IPL Wicket
Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, took his maiden wicket in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday (April 18) during the game against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. He dismissed Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 runs from 5 balls) on the second last ball of the 20th over to help Mumbai Indians seal their third win of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Arjun, who made his debut against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday (April 16) at the Wankhede Stadium, had bowled just 2 overs in his maiden game and had gone wicketless. However, on Tuesday, in a game against SRH, Rohit Sharma handed the responsibility to bowl the final over of the match, in which SRH required 20 runs. Arjun kept his calm and bowled good lines and also went on to pick his first-ever wicket in the Indian Premier League.
Rohit called up Arjun Tendulkar for the final over of the match with SunRisers Hyderabad needing 20 runs to win. He dismissed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar off the last ball of the game to help his side register a stunning 14-run win over SRH.
