Michael Vaughan Mocked Virat Kohli: The Indian cricket team returned to action in whites during a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire, ahead of the much-awaited 5th Test match between India and England. This Test match was postponed after multiple COVID-19 cases in the Indian camp last year and will be now played in Edgbaston from July 1.
Virat Kohli Attempts Root’s ‘Bat-Balancing’ Trick

The Indian side didn’t have a great day on Day 1 as the side ended at 246/8 in 60.2 overs before rain eventually halted the action. While all the other batters failed to make it big with the bat, wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat remained unbeaten on 70.
Batting maestro Virat Kohli also failed to make it big with the bat and was dismissed on 33 off 69 balls. During his innings, Virat stole the attention on social media after he was seen trying to imitate Joe Root’s magical ‘bat-balancing’ trick.
For the unversed, during the first Test of the series against New Zealand, Joe Root left everyone shocked after he incredibly managed to get the bat balancing in the air without touching it.
I knew @root66 was talented but not as magic as this……. What is this sorcery? @SkyCricket #ENGvNZ

Now during the warm-up game, Virat was seen trying to do the same but he eventually gave up, as he put his focus back on the action at the crease. The video of the same has gone crazily viral on social media, garnering reactions from all corners.

Michael Vaughan Pokes Fun At Kohli
Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who is very active on social media, also joined the bandwagon and came up with a hilarious reaction to the incident. Vaughan took to his Twitter and trolled Virat by comparing the two batters. He wrote:
“Virat not in the same Bat balancing league as Joe,”

Talking about the game, Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the team failed to get a good start to the game as openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma were dismissed cheaply. India was left reeling at 81/5 at one stage after Hanuma Vihari (3), Shreyas Iyer (0), and Ravindra Jadeja (13) were all dismissed without making much impact on the scoreboard.
Later, KS Bharat and Virat formed a partnership and added a 57-run stand, and Umesh Yadav (23) partnered with the wicketkeeper-batter for 64 runs for the 8th wicket. Alongside Bharat, Shami remained unbeaten on 18.
