Australia finally registered their first win of the series in the fourth match of the ongoing five-match One Day International (ODI) series against India. It was a good batting wicket at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and Australian openers– David Warner and Aaron Finch– made full use of the conditions.
Australia posted a total of 334 runs and won the match by 21 runs in the end. India started well but kept losing wickets consistently and fell short of 21 runs. Hardik Pandya was once again prompted to number 4 position and he scored 41 runs. But, his dismissal put the middle order under a lot of pressure and the run rate kept mounting.
Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey formed a good partnership vut couldn’t increase the tempo of the innings. As a result, they started to hit everything and gave their wickets away. Interestingly, MS Dhoni was sent at number 7 position in the batting order.
Dhoni is one of the greatest finishers in the history of the game, but he has now lost the hitting power he used to posses. He still a very good ODI batsman but he isn’t the ball as well as he used to a couple of years ago.
After India lost the match, Twitteratis, as always, wanted to share their views and, as a result, there was a flood of tweets. But, in this post, we have embedded some of the most hilarious tweets on MS Dhoni’s batting position, in this post. Check them out here:
