Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah made a sensational return to form, silencing all his critics as he put on a stellar show against Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders. Jasprit Bumrah, who was struggling with bad form in the ongoing season, made a blockbuster comeback.
Before the ongoing MI vs KKR game, Bumrah had taken only 5 wickets from 10 matches, but now in this game along, he has five wickets more in his name.
Jasprit Bumrah was fired up throughout the innings as he finished the spell with five wickets. This is Jasprit’s first five-for in IPL 2022 and was also probably one of the best bowling spells of the ongoing season.
After picking his maiden five-fer, Bumrah talked about his performance against KKR. He said: “ It was a good day. I was looking to use the dimensions of the ground. When things are going your way, it’s important to stay in the present and not to overdo things. Whenever you help the team, make an impact, that gives me satisfaction.”
He added: “That’s the way I always play my cricket, so happy with my performance. I don’t go there with a fixed mindset, I train for all situations and I understand, that sometimes I have to bowl at the start, sometimes in the end.”

Meanwhile, it was a big day for Bumrah and he celebrated it by punching the air and yelling out his frustration of having not been able to give the best of his abilities in the previous games. His wife and popular sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan, who was also present in the stands, celebrated the performance as much as Bumrah himself.
Sanjana also took to his Twitter and quickly reacted to Bumrah’s performance. She wrote: “Holy moly! My husband is fire.”
