KL Rahul, the Indian cricketer, has been receiving praises from all corners for his impeccable performances and taking multi-roles in just-concluded India vs Australia ODI series, where his performances helped India seal the series by 2-1.
KL Rahul, who is a specialist opener was asked to bat number 3 in the first ODI and then at number 5 in the second. He was asked to open the series in the final ODI series. He not just impressed everyone with his amazing batting performances in all the positions but was also amazing behind the stumps KL Rahul donned the wicket-keeping gloves after Rishabh Pant suffered a concussion while batting.
Lauding his performances, recently, the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir opened up about the ongoing debate between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Writing for his column in TOI, Gautam Gambhir was all praises for KL Rahul, however, he raised a very important question about Rishabh Pant. Praising KL Rahul, Gautam Gambhir said:
“There are few areas in business and sports which overlap. Let’s talk about KL Rahul, a fantastic human resource for Indian cricket. He has a good attitude, top-class fitness level, an array of strokes and leadership qualities. On a corporate scale, Rahul is an invaluable middle-management asset who can be groomed for bigger roles.”
Asking a question about Rishabh Pant’s career as a wicket-keeper, Gautam Gambhir stated that he ensures that the Indian team performs well both on and off-field. He said:
“What happens to Rishabh Pant? I think his confidence is already eroding under the constant scrutiny of his technique. I’m not sure how he will perceive this move. A fair and open-hearted chat with Rishabh ensures the team performs well both on and off the field,”
