Shikhar Dhawan, the Indian opener, played yet another top-class knock in the ongoing second ODI against Australia in Rajkot. Unfortunately, the talented cricketer once again missed out on a well-deserved century.
Asked to bat first, the Indian cricket team kickstarted the game with a bang. The Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Dhawan brought the much-needed momentum to the game in the beginning.
While Rohit Sharma went out a bit early after playing 44 balls only, where he scored 42 runs and smashed 6 fours. On the other hand, Dhawan stayed there and gave company to the Indian skipper in taking the numbers on the scoreboard a bit higher.

However, Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t complete a century as he fell short of four runs. He was dismissed after scoring 96 runs off 90 balls, where he smashed 13 fours and 1 six at the strike rate of 106.67.
In the first ODI against Australia, Shikhar Dhawan gave a stunning performance to shut all his criticizers up. He scored 52 runs off 36 balls. Earlier Shikhar Dhawan was receiving a lot of criticism for his strike rate and poor performance, however, with his back-to-back brilliant performances, Shikhar Dhawan has impressed one and all, and has justified his spot in the Indian squad.

Strokeful 96 from @SDhawan25. Unfortunate not to get century. From India’s point of view, sort of setback as this happened when Dhawan was cutting loose. India’s aim will be to get around 350 on this batting beauty of a pitch. Possibleif Kohli bats through from here
