The Indian cricket team is facing a difficult time at home as they are trailing 0-2 in the ongoing 5-match T20I series against South Africa in the absence of some regular players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Mohammed Shami. With the upcoming tour of England on mind, the BCCI decided to rest these senior players including all-format captain Rohit Sharma for the ongoing series against the Proteas.
In Rohit Sharma’s absence, young keeper-batter Rishabh Pant is leading the Indian cricket team. The responsibility came on his shoulders after KL Rahul, who was expected to lead the ongoing series was ruled out due to injury.

India’s Poor Run In The Ongoing IND vs SA

However, it seems like the Indian cricket team is badly missing the presence of the senior players. In the first T20I match, which took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, the Indian side lost the game despite scoring 211 runs following a poor performance by the bowlers. Whereas in the second T20I match in Cuttack, the batters let the team down.

From poor bowling performance to multiple blunders by stand-in captain Rishabh Pant, critics pointed out several reasons why team India lost two back-to-back games in the ongoing series. However, a senior journalist took the criticism one step ahead as he tried to put the blame on India’s all-format captain Rohit Sharma.
Journalist Blamed Rohit Sharma
Samip Rajguru took to his Twitter and pointed out that the Indian side is struggling badly against the Proteas and the ‘great captain’ is resting. He wrote:
“India is Losing…struggling…getting Battered…and the Great Player and Captain #RohitSharma is RESTING @BCCI”

Even the greatest player ever is resting. Why don’t you mention him as well?

Is Kohli, Bumrah, Shami etc not resting ? Stop being a propagandist and start reporting objectively. Kohli will no longer be the Indian captain irrespective of whatever you post in social media.

Rohit Sharma is getting ready for the 5th test . He is an opener & needs focus on test match batting to succeed in England
It’s good that he is focussing on test cricket instead of playing T20.
But would he have done the same had these T20 matches been IPL games ?

Are you in your sense
. It’s human body . Playing continuous cricket from last IPL except the SA tour . So what do you expect ? Even if he wants to his body or for that matter anyone’s body doesn’t allow them to play for the entire year.
