The rising stature of Sanju Samson got another vindication when the Kerala Braster FC, a football team in the Indian Super League tournament, appointed him as their Brand Ambassador on Monday.
Sanju Samson is currently out of cricketing action due to an injury he had sustained last month in the Sri Lanka series.
The Rajasthan Royals skipper, Sanju Samson is the most prominent Indian cricketer from Kerala since S Sreesanth. Fans have gone crazy over the 28-year-old not only in India, but across the world, as was evident by the cheers of his name and presence everywhere he travelled with Team India last year – be it Ireland, West Indies, Zimbabwe, the US, and New Zealand.
His appointment as the brand ambassador of Kerala Blasters FC will further promote his name in the country. Samson will represent the club and its values off the field.

Sanju Samson to make his comeback in the IPL 2023Sanju Samson is close to attaining his full fitness and will make his comeback to high-level cricket in the IPL 2023, which will start on March 31/April 1st, leading Rajasthan Royals. Samson led RR to their only second IPL final last season, but RR lost to Gujarat Titans in the final.
The 28-year-old Samson last took the field for India in the first T20I against Sri Lanka on January 3, 2023. In that match, Samson injured his knee while fielding and was ruled out from the remainder of the two T20Is vs Sri Lanka, followed by the 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against New Zealand too. Since then he’s been recovering at the NCA in Bangalore.
Sanju Samson performed superbly in 2022: in 5 T20Is innings, he had an average of 44, and more importantly, a strike rate of 158. In 9 ODI knocks in 2022, Sanju Samson averaged 71 at a strike rate of 105 – superb numbers for a middle-order batter.
