On March 31st, IPL 2023 will get underway. Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will square off in the opening match. The IPL will finally resume with the home-and-away format. IPL has been on an expansion binge, and this time they have a target in mind. A few games will be played as part of this in venues without home teams. In light of that, we now examine the two stadiums that will host the fewest matches during the IPL in 2023.

1) Barsapara Cricket Stadium – Guwahati (5th & 8th April)

Assam Cricket Association Stadium, Guwahati - Wikipedia

Cricket is a sport that has a strong following in the city of Guwahati. Every time India has played a game here in recent years, the fans have always shown their fervour.

In Guwahati, the Rajasthan Royals will begin their home season. Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings will both play here. Riyan Parag, the most well-liked cricketer in Assam, plays for RR. The young all-rounder is also in fantastic form and is the darling of many. As a result, the franchise will have a tremendous opportunity to grow its fan base in the northeastern city.

2) Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium – Dharamshala (17th & 19th May)

Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium is one of the venues which will host the least games in IPL 2023. Dharamshala is home to one of the most scenic stadiums in India. Punjab Kings will play two games here. The opponents would be Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals.

Punjab Kings is also a franchise that needs to improve its fan following. Barring Punjab, Haryana and the surrounding areas, there are not a lot of Punjab Kings fans. Hence, it would be important that a good crowd would be present at HPCA Stadium for the matches. Punjab has a set of exciting cricketers. The management will hope that the brand of cricket would draw a lot of fans for this franchise.
