Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will join the Indian side again for the second and the third match. Rohit will return to lead the side in the second ODI, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday (March 19) at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Talking about the first ODI match between India and Australia, Hardik Pandya won the toss and bowled out Australia for just 188 runs after choosing to bowl first. It was India’s pace attack that did the damage, with both Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami taking three wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.

For Australia, Mitchell Marsh turned out to be the lone warrior as he played a stunning knock of 81 runs off 65 balls.

However, India started the chase on the worst possible note as both Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli departed early. It will be interesting to see whether India is able to defeat Australia in the 1st ODI.
