Rohit Sharma Is All Set To Break MS Dhoni’s Big Batting Record During 2nd ODI

After beating Australia in the first ODI match of the ongoing 3-match series, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will now meet Australia for the second ODI match, that will take place today (March 19) at the Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Team India won the series opener by 5 wickets on Friday to take a lead of 1-0 in the ongoing series and a win in the 2nd game will help them seal the third back-to-back ODI series win in 2023. Before taking on Australia, India had already defeated New Zealand and Sri Lanka in a 3-match ODI series earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the 2nd ODI against Australia will also see the Indian captain Rohit Sharma return to lead the side after missing the 1st match due to his brother-in-law’s wedding.

In his last ODI match, Rohit ended a long wait of 3 years as he registered a stunning century in the final game of a three-match series against the New Zealand side in Indore. Rohit played a stunning knock of 101 runs off 85 balls.

It was Rohit’s 30th century in the 50-over format of the game, which also brought him on equal terms with former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting. Rohit and Ponting are currently sitting at the joint-third position in the list of top players with the most centuries to their name in the 50-over format.
