Rishabh is currently making a full recovery after suffering significant injuries in an accident that took place on December 30 close to Roorkee. Due to the fact that the vehicle he was driving rolled over and caught fire while he was behind the wheel, he sustained two significant ligament injuries: an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture and a medial collateral ligament tear (MCL). After receiving treatment at a hospital in Roorkee at first, Rishabh was transferred to the Max Hospital in Dehradun for further care. Following that, he was transported to Mumbai via air ambulance. The wicketkeeper-batsman provided an update on his recovery and shared images from the previous month showing him using crutches. “One step forward. One step stronger. He noted in the caption that it was “one step better.”
Fans responded to the photograph that was posted by Guru by wishing the cricketer a swift recovery and sending their well wishes. One of the comments stated, “Iss IPL mai bahut miss krne wale hai apko. (We are going to miss you quite a bit during this IPL season)” whereas the other one stated, “Get well soon, champion (a red heart emoticon).” Another supporter of the artist wrote, “Get well soon (emoticon of folded hands) We are waiting for you…”

In the immediate aftermath of the vehicle accident, Rishabh had earlier issued a statement that was shared on social media, which went as follows: “I am overwhelmed with awe and profound gratitude for everyone’s kind words and support. I am happy to report that my operation went well, and I thank you for your concern. The first step on the path to recovery has been taken, and I am prepared to face the obstacles that lie ahead.

Sincere gratitude for the great help provided by the BCCI, Jay Shah, and the authorities in government.” It is anticipated that the injured wicketkeeper-batter would remain sidelined for the entirety of the 2023 season. It has been decided that the DC captain will not participate in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) or the World Cup in 2023.
