The year 2016 was full of good performances for India’s ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. In 2016, Ravichandran Ashwin gave one match-winning performance after the other and established himself as the number 1 Test bowler and number 1 all-rounder in the world, as per the latest ICC Test rankings for the year 2016.
Ravichandran Ashwin has become the third India player and 12th player overall to win the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy after being named as the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2016.
South Africa’s young wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock has been named the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year award. He is second South African behind AB de Villiers (2010, 2014, 2015) to clinch this award.
West Indies’ Carlos Brathwaite won the ICC T20I Performance of the year for his unbelievable knock in the final of the ICC World T20 2016.
