India likely to play 2 T20Is against West Indies in Florida in August

Few of the officials from the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) have travelled to Florida, USA to meet with West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) officials and are in talks for a possibility to host a two-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series at the Central Broward Regional Park in August, after conclusion of the ongoing four-match Test series in West Indies.

“We had an email inquiring about late-August availability of the stadium by representatives of the WICB last week. We have August 24 to 27, and they were asking about Sunday, August 28, as well. We would have to cancel a small event to give them the Sunday,” Finch told ESPNcricinfo.

Florida is all set to host six games of the ongoing edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) from July 28 and 31. The USA national team would also be hosting trial matches from August 1 to 3 to pick-up the 14-man squad for WCL Division Four, set to be held in October 2016. Since there is hardly any cricket scheduled in the month of November the ground is to be rented out for other sports, including football, as Barcelona FC would be hosting a camp, following the conclusion of the CPL.
