Cricket isn’t just a sport but much more than that for the Indian fans. Whenever a match takes place, there’s some another-level energy on social media, which witnesses a flood of posts and Tweets related to cricket.
Lately, as the second of three ODI match against New Zealand is underway, a Twitter user pointed out a very interesting thing that has been irking the cricket fans for a long time now. A Twitter user with username ‘@GabbarSingh’ took to his Twitter and shared a picture of the new score-board from the ongoing match.
Calling it the most confusing score-board, the Twitter user highlighted the fact that how the scoreboard is missing out on the information on the fall of wickets. Yes, the score-board wasn’t carrying the details of how a batsman was dismissed and by whom. Sharing the picture, Gabbar wrote:
“The award for the most confusing score-board goes to…”

The tweet soon caught the eyes of popular cricket commentator and former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra who gave his opinion on the same. Aakash Chopra feels that the score-board is infact more informative and lauded it. Calling it a good utilization of space, Aakash Chopra wrote:
“On the contrary….I love it. Very informative. Clean. Good utilisation of space.”

However, Twitterati doesn’t seem to agree with Aakash Chopra. Twitterati are now questioning the commentator about how the score-board is effective while disagreeing with him.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
Informative? Aakash, can you tell how was Guptill out seeing this? #NZvIND

How is it “very informative” if i can’t see who dismissed whom or the node of dismissal?
Say caught or run out or LBW etc??
Not good for someone who loves the traditional scorecard#INDvsNZ #NZvIND— Outside off stump (@CricPratikkk) February 8, 2020
Informative?? Even it don’t display who dismissed respective batsman & how. Past scorecards were much informative ?

One used earlier was good…. At least we get to know how a player got out and who dismissed him

This is why you don’t hire a college pass out right away

Terrible UI. Have two stacked sections one above the other – one for the batting side with batsmen, mode of dismissal, runs and balls… strike rate is optional and one for the fielding. Come on – this isn’t hard.

True…. always found this incredibly frustrating. Unnecessary innovations are uncalled for.
