The upcoming season of the Indian Premier League will reportedly be canceled due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, which has gripped the whole world and has infected more than 920,000 people so far, while 47,000 people have lost their lives so far. In India, the condition is going worst day by day and the number of infected people has crossed in 2000 and is still increasing rapidly.
The cash-rich league had already been pushed back to April 15 from March 29 however the country is currently under lockdown for 21 days and if reports are to be believed then the tournament might get canceled this year. If the Coronavirus graph is considered, the upcoming weeks are going to be crucial for India. Thus, the circumstances are difficult for the BCCI to host IPL.
If the IPL 2020 gets canceled, it would come as a major blow for some of the cricketers, who were out of form and were looking for an opportunity to make a comeback.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and current commentator Aakash Chopra shared a video on his Facebook page where he listed the names of five cricketers who as per him will suffer the most if IPL 2020 gets canceled.
Suresh Raina was the first name Aakash Chopra picked. As per him, Suresh Raina hasn’t played any T20 tournament recently neither in-home nor in foreign soil. And if the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League gets canceled, it will get really difficult for Suresh Raina to make a comeback in the Indian cricket team.
With the presence of Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, it will get extremely tough for Krunal Pandya to script his comeback to the Indian cricket team if the upcoming season of IPL gets canceled. As per Aakash Chopra, if IPL takes place then Krunal has high chances to make a comeback in the national team else he might not get any platform to showcase his talent.
