Alexa Gave An Epic Reply To Wasim Jaffer’s Tweet On Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah registered his career-best ODI bowling figures in the first ODI against England as India thwarted the hosts at The Kia Oval to take a 1-0 series lead.

Bumrah’s 6/19 – which included 4 top-order batters’ wickets – is now the third-best ever bowling figures by an Indian in ODIs – after Stuart Binny’s 6/4 and Anil Kumble’s 6/12.

His first four wickets – those of Jason Roy, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone – came inside the first powerplay, the first 10 overs, following which England crawled to a measly total of 110, which the Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, gunned down emphatically inside 19 overs- Sharma smashing 76* off 58 balls and Dhawan scoring 31* on his return to international cricket.

Wasim Jaffer’s funny tweet for Jasprit Bumrah gets a reply from Alexa

Hailing Jasprit Bumrah as “unplayable”, former India batsman Wasim Jaffer kept his social media meme game strong and tweeted a funny post.

“Alexa, please play Jasprit Bumrah” “Sorry, Jasprit Bumrah is unplayable,” Jaffer tweeted.

This tweet from Jaffer gained immense traction from fans and now has over 125 thousand likes.

The best reply, though, to this tweet from Jaffer came from the official Twitter account of the Alexa app, which also commended Jasprit Bumrah’s incredible bowling with a song.

“Now playing ‘U Can’t Touch This’ in honor of the Boom Boom Bumrah,” the Alexa app replied.

Bumrah rattled the hosts with his impeccable discipline of line and length and made full use of the helpful swinging and seaming conditions at The Oval. The seamer asserted that he only needed to keep control of his lengths as the conditions were generous on his side.

“When there’s swing and seam movement, it is very exciting in white-ball cricket to get that opportunity because you have to be defensive with the kind of pitches we usually get. When I bowled the first ball, I found some swing and we tried to exploit that. When it doesn’t swing, I have to pull my lengths back. When the ball is doing something you don’t have to try a lot. When the wicket is flat your accuracy is tested. It is a good place to be when the ball is swinging,” Bumrah said in the post-match presser.

The second ODI will be played at the storied Lord’s on Thursday and the third and final ODI of the series at Old Trafford on Sunday.
