Royal Challengers Bangalore had a great day at the inaugural auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) in Mumbai. RCB has been making a lot of headlines with some biggest signings of the day so far. They first broke the bank to sign star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana for INR 3.4 crore, who is the biggest buy in the WPL 2023 auction so far

Smriti Mandhana was roped in by the Bangalore-based franchise for a whopping sum of ₹3.40 crore on Monday. Royal Challengers Bangalore then bought the services of Australia’s Ellyse Perry after acquiring the services of Indian vice-captain Mandhana.

Royal Challengers Bangalore also bought the likes of Sophie Devine, Renuka Singh, and Richa Ghosh in their ranks, making them one of the strongest teams in the competition. After a stunning performance in the auctions, RCB is likely to enter the competition as a strong favorite to win the tournament.

RCB Will Enter WPL 2023 As Favorites

Royal Challengers Bangalore has also given hope to fans that the women will finally win the title in their maiden season, which will be the first trophy for the Bangalore-based franchise. Notably, the men’s team is yet to win their elusive title as they never won the ndian Premier League (IPL) in its 15-year history.
