The No.1 ranked T20I batsman in the world, Babar Azam has allowed his bat to do all the talking in the last few years. The right-handed batsman has emerged as the mainstay in the Pakistani batting line-up. If his stats are anything to go by, there’s no doubt that Babar is on his way to claim greatness. With every passing year, Babar has shown signs of improvement at the highest level.
Being a technically solid batsman, he easily continues to reign supreme in the shortest format of the game. Even in the other formats, the 25-year old has exhibited enough consistency. His recent exploits have even forced the cricket pundits to count him among the new Fab-4 in the international arena. With an average of over 50 in the LOIs, along with a 45+ average in Tests, the Pakistan sensation finds a place in top-5 rankings in each of the three formats.
KL Rahul or Babar Azam? Brad Hogg names his choice
Babar, who has often drawn comparisons with Indian skipper Virat Kohli was recently compared with another Indian star in KL Rahul. Rahul, who has been in a scintillating form of late, has drawn great appreciation from all around the globe. Both of the batters feature a similar style of play, relying more on their technique rather than trying to muscle the ball.
While both are a treat to watch, one of the fans posted a question to the former Australian chinaman, Brad Hogg, over his favorite pick among the two batters.
Hogg, while interacting with his fans over Twitter, didn’t hesitate a bit in picking Babar Azam ahead of Rahul. It was quite evident that Hogg is a huge admirer of Azam, rated the Pakistani T20I skipper ahead of Rahul.
Here’s Hogg reply over Twitter:
Hmmm, Babar. https://t.co/8cIp53AExZ

While Rahul has been a revelation for India in the past few months in the white-ball cricket, Babar has dominated the cricketing circuit for the past few years in the limited-overs format.
