After a bizarre moment, the Australian opener David Warner was seen with a kite amidst the match in front of thousands of fans on the eve of Makar Sankranti, India’s kite-flying festival. Well, during the first ODI between India and Australia, that happened in the Wankhede Stadium, a kite fell onto the field and delayed the Indian innings with a few minutes.
The bizarre incident happened in the 49th over of India’s innings, when a kite landed on the field, causing a delay of few minutes before the end of India’s innings. David Warner picked the kite as soon as it landed and later handed it to the umpire.

David Warner was also seen pointing towards the sky as it looked the thread of the kite got entangled in one of the Spidercam wires on the ground.
After the match, David Warner posted the picture of the bizarre moment, where he can be seen pointing towards the sky while holding the kite. Posting the picture on his Instagram, David Warner wrote:

Rashid Khan, who is David‘s teammate in IPL’s Sunrisers Hyderabad, took a hilarious dig at David Warner holding a kite. He also came up with a hilarious caption for the picture, he wrote:

Talking about the match, Aaron Finch and David Warner’s unbeaten 258-run stand made their team lead the series by 1-0. David Warner scored 128 runs off 112 balls, smashing 17 fours and 3 sixes. On the other hand, Aaron Finch scored 110 runs off 114 balls, where he hit the Indian bowlers for 13 fours and 2 sixes.
